About Countess Ablaze Yarn Underground

Who we are

We are the wild ones, passionate about creating rebellious yarns on our own terms. We don't compromise on principles or style, we don't adhere to social media algorithms (you won't find us on there anymore), we don't give a fuck about who or what is popular in knitting and crochet and we turn down awards.

Our people are like you, rebellious, cheeky, on-the-nose, passionate about colour and desiring the freedom to just be yourself.

Hugely influenced by metal and punk music, fashion heroes Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, tech and sneaker culture.

The Countess is accompanied by Blazin'Squad, and we're powered by loud music, doughnuts and self-expression. Established in 2011.

Why You Should Join Us

Because we like you. Rebel with us Underground away from the noise, chaos and advertising of mainstream social media.

Share your yarn acquisitions, projects or just chat. You do not even need to be a consumer of our yarns. Some of my favourite emails over the years have been "Your colours aren't my cup of tea but I love what you do." If that's you, come on in too.

Our moderation team is paid (no free labour here, thanks) to help ensure a welcoming place.

Everybody is welcome as long as you welcome everybody - it is really that simple.

Extra Spaces Inside

Yarn Cartel - we've archived our Facebook group and moved over to a private ground within Underground. This is a group for paying members of our yarn subscription club and is invite-only.

Rock Out With Your Yarn Out - we'll be hosting our marketing workshop here for fellow creative entrepreneurs for a low and affordable fee. Coming soon.

We also have more plans for spaces too.
